Jabalpur Division bagged the overall championship with titles of Under-14 and 16 categories in the 68th State-Level School Yoga Olympiad. The competition is being jointly organised under the auspices of District Administration and School Education Department at Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha Model School of Excellence. Closing ceremony of the Yoga Olympiad will be held on December 19, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha Model Excellence School. A total of 112 participants (boys and girls) and 35 officials from seven divisions Bhopal, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar and Tribal Welfare Department participated in the competition.

 

In Under-16 Boys and Girls categories Jabalpur Division clinched first position while Gwalior Division and Tribal Welfare Department secured second and third positions. Similarly, in Under - 14-Year Boys, Jabalpur Division clinched the championship while Rewa Division and Gwalior Division teams secured second and third positions. In Under-14 Girls, Tribal Welfare Department emerged winner while Jabalpur Division and Bhopal Division secured second and third positions. Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh (Annu) organized a tour of Dumna Nature Park for participants from across the state and treated them to refreshments at the Indian Coffee House. The arrangements made in Jabalpur left the young athletes delighted and motivated. The children also expressed excitement about the cash prizes announced by the Mayor. The competitions were held under the supervision of District Education Officer Ghanshyam Soni, Nodal Officer Mukesh Srivastava, District Sports Officer Madhumita Hajra and supervisors Devendra Dhimole, Ashok Shivne, Ajay Rajak, Krishnakant Sharma, Chandrashekhar Swami, R K Upadhyay, Meenukant Sharma, Sudha Upadhyay, Dharmshila Dubey, Brijendra Tiwari, Girishkant Mishra, along with general managers, officers and staff members.
