Sensation prevailed in Chandan Colony Phool Sagar area when the body of a middle-aged man was found in a pool of blood in front of his house under the jurisdiction of Sanjeevani Nagar police station, on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Keshri Khalval Sen (55), a resident of Chandan Colony in Ganga Nagar.
In prima facie of the investigation, police ascertained that the man was killed by hitting his head with a boulder on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The body was bitten by pigs and its face was badly scattered.
CSP, HR Pandey informed that receiving the information of finding the body of a man, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital.
In prima facie of the investigation, police learnt that the deceased Keshri Sen went out from his house on Saturday evening but he could not return home throughout the night. On the basis of short post-mortem report, police found that the man was killed by unidentified person by hitting his head with concrete as two heavy concrete pieces were found near the body.
Sanjeevani Nagar police have registered a case while further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the accused.
