A shocking incident came to light on Thursday when a hidden camera was discovered in the changing room of the Mediscan MRI Center located in Malviya Nagar, Bhopal. The camera was found by a woman and her husband who had arrived at the center for an MRI.
According to information , the camera was concealed within the false ceiling of the changing room, which is typically used by women to change into gowns before undergoing an MRI. Upon noticing the device, the couple raised an objection, which led to a confrontation with the staff. The staff responded rudely to their concerns.
Upon receiving information about the disturbance, the Arera Hills police quickly arrived at the scene and detained a staff member of the center.
The detained employee’s mobile phone was seized, and multiple videos were found on it.
The incident occurred when a man, a resident of Jahangirabad, visited the center with his wife. After his wife entered the changing room and began putting on the gown, she noticed something unusual in the ceiling. Upon closer inspection, she saw a mobile phone hidden within the ceiling tiles. The phone was recording video at the time, and the woman immediately informed her husband.
When the husband checked the phone, he discovered that the device had already recorded a 20-minute video. The footage contained images of several women in the changing room. When the couple confronted the staff about the phone, the staff did not provide any explanation and even snatched the mobile from them, physically assaulting the husband. The couple managed to escape from the scene and rushed to the police station. The police then arrived at the MRI center with the couple and seized the phone.
Arera Hills Police Station’s TI Manoj Patwa confirmed that the changing room has been sealed, and staff members’ statements are being recorded. Initial investigations suggest that a male employee, identified as Vishal Thakur, is suspected of being involved. His mobile phone contained obscene videos, and he is being questioned about the videos. Police are investigating further to determine what happened after the videos were recorded. Authorities are probing whether these videos were shared with other employees or uploaded to social media platforms. The investigation is ongoing to ensure justice is served.
