After the chaos in Parliament, the Congress party has taken to the streets to oppose the FIR filed against the Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi. Under the leadership of Congress National Secretary Chandan Singh Yadav, Congressmen held a protest at Ghantaghar and demanded resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandan Singh Yadav accused Amit Shah of making derogatory remarks about the Constitution's architect, Dr. B R Ambedkar, in Parliament.
He said the nation will not tolerate this insult to Baba Saheb.
He further stated that people have come out on the streets against the disrespect shown to Baba Saheb. Congress will not stand for this insult. He said the party wants to make it clear to
Prime Minister Modi that until Amit Shah is dismissed, neither Congress nor the people of the nation will back down.
Yadav alleged that the Prime Minister is trying to divert attention from the issue but assured that Congress will keep the focus intact. Chandan Yadav also accused BJP MPs of disrupting the Parliament and hindering Congress MPs from participating. "Our MPs were stopped at the gates and were not allowed entry. This is a murder of democracy. An FIR was registered against our leader in such circumstances," he added.
Those participated in the protest were Lakshman Singh, Dinesh Yadav, Saurabh Sharma, Vinay Saxena, Amrish Mishra, Kaushalya Gotia, Madan Laria, Mukesh Rathore and others.
