Parents protest

, Frustrated with the persistent shortage of teachers at the New Primary School in Tamaseoni, parents took matters into their own hands by locking the school and staging a sit-in protest. The school, which has been grappling with this issue for several years, operates with just two teachers to cater to students from classes one to five, leaving education in a dire state. Despite repeated requests from public representatives and parents for additional teachers over the past three years, no action has been taken beyond verbal assurances. This inaction pushed the parents to escalate their demands through the protest.

Local leaders, including Sarpanch representative Hemlal Jangde, Deputy Sarpanch Hulas Sahu, Bablu Vaishnav, Chitranjan Sahu, and Santosh Sahu, joined the demonstration and informed higher authorities about the situation. Responding to the protest, Abhanpur BEO Dhaneshwari Sahu, Naib Tehsildar Gobara Navapara Ashok Kumar Janghel, ABO Rajesh Sahu, BRCC Rakesh Sahu, Nodal Representative Mayankdhar Diwan, and Coordinator Bhaskar Sahu visited the school to address the grievances. They interacted with the parents and students, assured them of resolving the issue promptly, and urged patience. The parents, however, remain firm in their demand for immediate action, emphasizing the urgent need for more teachers to ensure quality education for their children.
