IIM Nagpur in association with Ivey Publishing, the publishing division of globally known Ivey Business School at Canada’s Western University, launched the IIM Nagpur Case Centre. The collaboration will pave the way for the B-school to bring its collection of India-focused business case studies to an international audience.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur, on Saturday told the media persons that the IIM Nagpur Case Centre is aimed at giving access to the students of IIM as well as other B-schools in the country to the huge bank of cases available with the Ivey Publishing.
This collaboration will facilitate the global circulation of cases written on Indian companies, which will be used and taught in global institutions. The milestone is a moment of pride for IIM Nagpur, Nagpur city, and India.
“It will also give an opportunity to our faculty members to publish regional case studies at the global level,” he said adding that Ivey Publishing is known for its rigorous approach to developing high-quality learning materials that promote case-based education. The partnership between the two institutions entails a collaborative effort to foster case based teaching and in creating high quality case materials to enrich classroom discussions.
“We will also encourage faculty members and industry people to write case studies so that the same could be taught in various B-schools without speanding much for it,” he said.
IIM Nagpur Case Centre will be the third among IIMs and the fifth in the country.
