With his cheerful personality, the celebrated playback singer and Padma Bhushan awardee Udit Narayan performed live at a packed venue on the ninth day of the ongoing Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav 2024. The massive crowd at the stadium proved that the singer’s charm and popularity are still very much alive. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, along with other dignitaries including Manoj Suryavanshi, former Chairman of Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT); Vaibhav Maheshwari, Suresh Sharma of Baidyanath, were prominently present on the occasion. The packed crowd welcomed

Udit Narayan by lighting up their mobile phones. Narayan made his grand entrance along with a cheering audience by singing one of his most popular songs, ‘Papa Kehte Hain’. The singer sang one hit after another, including ‘Ruk Jaa O Dil Deewane’, ‘Jaadu Teri Nazar’, ‘Ae Mere Humsafar’, ‘Akele Hain Toh Kya Gum Hain’, ‘Pehla Nasha’, ‘Ae Ajnabi Tu Bhi Kabhi’, ‘Tu Mere Saamne’. The audience swayed to the music, waving their mobile phones with lit torches, creating a sparkling sight. Narayan fondly remembered Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar and spoke about the times when he sang and recorded songs with her. In the day’s first session, sisters Mrunmayee and Sanskriti Dagwar gave a graceful classical dance performance on the song ‘Mere Dholna Sun’. Adding to the occasion, Ovi Puranik, Kartiki Lohkare, Vaidehi Shrivastav, Kanak Raut, and Surbhi Kshirsagar also showcased their dance talents. The day’s proceedings were conducted by Balasaheb Kulkarni and Renuka Deshkar. On December 22, the morning devotional session will feature Shri Suktam Pathan at 7 am. In the evening, there will be a dhol-tasha performance by local artists at 6.30 pm, followed by a live concert by singer Vishal Mishra.
