Special farewell ceremony organised for outgoing Commandant Brig Kumar at COD

A special ceremony was organised under the aegis of Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area at Central Ordnance Depot (COD), Jabalpur to bid farewell to the outgoing commandant, Brigadier C Vasanta Kumar, as he proceeds to his new posting and to warmly welcome the incoming Commandant, Brigadier Naveen Thapa. The highlight of the event was the symbolic exchange of the "Baton" between Brig C Vasanta Kumar and Brig Naveen Thapa, signifying the formal handing over of command responsibilities.

 

This moment underscored the tradition of excellence and discipline upheld at COD Jabalpur. Brig C Vasanta Kumar was lauded for his exceptional leadership and significant contributions. Under his guidance, COD Jabalpur achieved remarkable milestones, setting new standards in discipline and management. The farewell turned emotional as officers, jawans, and defence civilians expressed their gratitude and wished him success in his future endeavors. Simultaneously, Brig Naveen Thapa was welcomed with great enthusiasm and optimism. The officers and personnel expressed confidence that COD Jabalpur would continue to scale new heights under his capable leadership. The Works Committee and union members played a pivotal role in organizing the ceremony.
