Akshat pockets twin titles

 

AKSHAT Dakshindas pocketed twin titles in the MSLTA State Championship - Zonal Tournament for Boys and Girls U14 & U17 started at the NDHTA courts in Ramnagar on Monday. All top players of Nagpur city participated in this Zonal tournament, after which the State level tournament will be held next month in Kolhapur and Nashik. Akshat defeated Pranav Gaikwad in both U14 and U17 finals to win both titles. In the Girls U14, it was Shravari Shrirame who beat Surmayee Sathe and in Girls U17, Devashree Dagwar got the better of Shravya Rambhajani. These four girls are currently the top players in Nagpur. VP Ashok Bhiwapurkar and Joint Secretary Vikram Naidu of NDHTA were present. Tournament Director Dr Sudhir Bhiwapurkar and Joint Secretary Vikram Naidu gave away the trophies and certificates to the winners and players. Tournament Supervisor Vishal Landge conducted the tournament.
