In recognition of their exceptional health services and patient care, nine health institutions in Chhattisgarh have been awarded prestigious ‘National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS)’ certificates by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
These institutions, located across Janjgir Champa, Surajpur, Mahasamund, Durg, and Bilaspur districts, met stringent quality assurance standards to achieve this national honor.
Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal extended his heartfelt congratulations to the doctors and medical staff of these health centers, praising their dedication to providing high-quality care. He attributed this achievement to the continued efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, aimed at expanding and improving health services across the state.
The evaluations were conducted in November and December 2024 by a team from the Central
Health Ministry, which assessed the quality of services and sought feedback from patients. Each health center underwent rigorous testing on parameters including service availability, patient rights, clinical services, infection control, and quality management.
Performance Highlights: Surajpur District: Ayushman Arogya Mandir Primary Health Center Chungari 86.65 per cent, Sub Health Center Pakni 86.43 per cent, Sub Health Center Palda 84.11 per cent and Sub Health Center Jajawal 80.44 per cent.
In Janjgir Champa District: Primary Health Center Tilai 88.22per cent and Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub Health Center Sukulpara 88.57 per cent. In Mahasamund District: Sub Health Centre Sonasilli 87.32per cent, in Durg District: Sub Health Centre Kodia 82.50 per cent and in Bilaspur District: Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub Health Center Lufa 83.83 per cent.
The NQAS certificates are issued only after thorough evaluation by expert teams. The process assesses hospitals based on several parameters, including service availability, support services, infection control, quality management, and patient satisfaction. The certificates reflect a health centre’s ability to provide reliable and quality care.
Health Minister Jaiswal expressed hope that these hospitals would continue to set benchmarks for others in the state and inspire them to achieve similar recognition. “This accomplishment is a testament to our commitment to delivering world-class health services to every citizen in Chhattisgarh,” he added.
