Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Arun Sao visited the forest villages of Lormi Assembly, holding public meetings to directly address the issues faced by the residents. Despite inclement weather, including rain in village Chhaparwa, Sao persisted in his outreach, engaging with villagers and resolving their grievances on the spot.
During the public meeting, Sao emphasized his commitment to the welfare of the villagers, referring to them as his extended family. “Your problems are my problems, and I take full responsibility to resolve them,” he assured. Recalling his recent birthday celebration on November 25 in Jakarbandha among thousands of family members, he highlighted his connection with the community and shared the initiatives undertaken during that event, such as distributing cheques to beneficiaries.
The Deputy Chief Minister commenced his visit with a public meeting at the former secondary school in Gram Panchayat Achanakmar. Villagers from nearby areas, including Sarasdor, Dawankhor, and Sivankhar, gathered in large numbers to share their concerns. He then proceeded to Gram Panchayat Chhaparwa, meeting residents of Bindawal and other dependent villages, where he attentively listened to their problems and resolved many of them immediately.
Responding to the villagers’ requests in Achanakmar, Sao announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the repair of the Durga Pandal and the passenger waiting room. To help the residents combat the winter cold, shawls were distributed among them. Highlighting the achievements of the Vishnu Deo Sai-led government, Sao underscored the fulfillment of key promises made under Prime Minister Modi’s vision. He praised the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, under which mothers and sisters receive Rs 10,000 in 10 installments, encouraging them to utilize the funds for family welfare and their children’s education. He mentioned government initiatives such as purchasing paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal and tendu leaves at Rs 5,500, as well as the revival of the Charan Paduka scheme. Sao’s visit reflected his proactive approach to governance, strengthening his bond with the villagers and reaffirming the government’s commitment to addressing grassroots issues.
