A stakeholder connect workshop on Chhattisgarh’s New Industrial Development Policy 2024-30 and Export Promotion was held at CG-04 Restro, Nava Raipur in Atal Nagar on Wednesday. The workshop was organised by the Department of Commerce and Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh in collaboration with National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog.
During the workshop, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo presented the rollout of invitation to invest letters of Rs 32,225 crore to 27 different industries with the proposal for new capital investment in the workshop. Investment will be made in the core sectors of the state as well as in new investment areas like IT, AI, Data Centre, Ethanol, Electronics, Electrical, Compressed Bio Gas and other sectors.
Sai said that there is vast potential for setting up new
industries in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is rich in minerals resources and there is, favorable industrial environment, and the state’s new industrial development policy 2024-30 has been prepared after discussing with the representatives of industry and business world. The process of setting up industries has been simplified and several provisions have been included to encourage the setting up of industries in the new industrial development policy. Red carpet is open for investors in Chhattisgarh .
The complexities of investment no longer exist in Chhattisgarh. Single window system has made everything very simple, said Sai. Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the target of developed India by 2047. For this, the people of the state will have to build a developed Chhattisgarh. The industry of Chhattisgarh will also have an important contribution in building a developed India.
Employment opportunities will be provided to more and more people of Chhattisgarh by promoting industrial investment in various sectors, said he. Commerce and Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan in his address said that the new industrial development policy was prepared under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain and Senior Advisor of the NITI Aayog also spoke. Secretary of the Commerce and Industries Department Rajat Kumar gave the welcome address.
Three panel discussions were held in the workshop. In the first penal discussion, Managing Director of NR Group of Industries, President of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Amar Parwani, President of Laghu Udyog Bharti O P Singhaniya and Partner and Industries Leader, Deloitte South Asia Easwaran Subramanian shared their views in the panel discussion. Director of the Commerce and Industries Department Prabhat Malik was the moderator. Second panel discussion was held on “Export Potential and its Economic Impact: Strategies, Opportunities and Challenges”. Senior Advisor of the NITI Aayog Sanjeet Singh was the moderator of the panel discussion. The panel discussion was also held on “Export Potential and its Economic Impact: Strategies, Opportunities and Challenges”. Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Corporation Vishwesh Kumar, Chief Finance Officer of Reliance Industries Ltd Vikas Rathi, State Coordinating Officer of Reliance Chhattisgarh Surendra Jain, other industrialists and officials were present.
