A 21-year-old youth was stabbed to death by two minors in conflict with law at Jeora on late Tuesday night after arguments over ‘Rasgulla’ in a reception. The deceased and accused are friends and as per police following the arguments, the trio left the venue and came outside where the accused repeatedly stabbed the victim with a knife. The knife used in the commission of the offence has been seized by the police while the accused minors have reportedly been taken into custody. Jeora Sirsa Police Outpost In-charge informed that the incident occurred at about 11 pm on Tuesday.

The deceased Sagar Thakur (21), son of Ramesh Thakur and the accused minors hail from the same village Jeora. On Tuesday night they went to attend a wedding party where arguments broke out between them over sweet dish ‘Rasgulla’ which was being served in the party. The trio then came out of the venue and started arguing again over the same. The accused teen pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim. The locals immediately rushed the victim to hospital but he died on the way.

Sources said that one of the accused surrendered after committing the crime while the other has also been taken into custody by police from the village itself. Jeora Police Outpost In-charge said that the arguments among the trio over ‘Rasgulla’ led to the murder of the victim youth. Meanwhile the body of the deceased was later shifted to mortuary and handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination. An offence against the accused has also been registered under relevant section of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita for murder.
