International Geeta Mahotsav will be celebrated in the entire state on Geeta Jayanti on 11 December. The festival will be held in the Kalidas Sanskrit Academy premises in Ujjain from 8 to 12 December. The main function will be held in Motilal Nehru Stadium on 11 December in the capital Bhopal. The Karmayog chapter of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita will be recited aloud by the Acharyas in Motilal Nehru Stadium on 11 December to create a world record. Sadho Band and group will perform in the cultural evening. Apart from this, an initiative will be taken to keep one copy each of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita, Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas at tourist places and other important places of the state for tourists/researchers. Along with cultural activities in the district headquarters, the Karmayog chapter of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita will be recited in the district jails.
 
In the International Geeta Mahotsav organized by Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth, performances will be given by renowned lyricist Manoj Muntashir, motivational speaker Vivek Bindra, singer Swasti Mehul, Sadho Band and many Vaishnav tradition based cultural drama groups. Apart from this, a picture exhibition based on cow and Gopal and Shrimadbhav Geeta Purana will be organized in entire Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lord Krishna is a bright symbol of renaissance, progress and national identity in India. He is Yogiraj-Yugpurush-Nyaya Priya-Jagatguru. He is the motivator of literature, culture, science, cattle, agriculture and water conservation and the universally accepted symbol of Indian cultural aura.
 
On the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Shri Krishna Patheya Yojana has been started in the state for inspiration from Lord Krishna. This scheme is the resolution of the Madhya Pradesh government to re-identify the era-transforming works done by Lord Krishna during his travels from Mathura to Ujjain, Amravati, Kurukshetra, Dwarka areas and to find a path for the development of the society from his unique heritage. Director, Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth Shriram Tiwari said that cultural activities of International Geeta Mahotsav will be held in Ujjain from 8 to 12 December 2024 at Kalidas Sanskrit Academy campus. On the first day of this five-day festival, there will be a Geeta Samvad by renowned lyricist Manoj Muntashir. After this, Mahanritya Guru Dakshina directed by Suman Saha (Kolkata) will be staged. It is based on the narrative of Shri Krishna and Guru Sandipani. On the second day, Mahanritya Krishnayan directed by Sanjeev Malviya will be presented.
 
On 10th December at 10 am, there will be Gita based competitions. In the same sequence, a seminar based on Shrimad Bhagwad Gita will be organized from 11 am in which subject experts from India and abroad will give their speeches. In the cultural evening, famous Bhajan singer Kalapini Komkali will present Bhajans centered on Shri Krishna. After this, Kumar Sharma and team will present the dance drama “Shri Krishna: Anek Naam-Anek Dham”. The festival will be inaugurated with cultural programs on 11th December. It will include discourses, Gita recitation by 5108 Acharyas, motivational speech by motivational speaker Vivek Bindra, prize distribution of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita and value based education competitions, musical journey of Sudarshan Chakra - Shri Krishna Gatha dance drama will be presented. On December 12, complete Gita recitation and Yagna will be performed from 8 am.
