In a major breakthrough, the Ayodhyanagar police personnel have arrested a notorious female thief, Lakshmi Yadav and recovered stolen items worth approximately Rs 60,000 including a rare and valuable Ashtadhatu Jaladhari (a mythological and antique item). According to the police, Lakshmi Yadav, a 35-year-old resident of Shiv Nagar, Bhanpur, is a habitual offender and a drug addict. She has a history of stealing valuable items from temples and selling them to fund her addiction. The police stated that Lakshmi Yadav would conduct reconnaissance during the day and strike at night, targeting temples and other places of worship. She was arrested by a team of police officers, led by Inspector Mahesh Lilhare, near 84 acre slum with the stolen items in her possession.
 
The recovered items include a rare and valuable Ashtadhatu Jaladhari, which is estimated to be worth approximately Rs 60,000. The police have registered a case under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and are further investigating the matter. Lakshmi Yadav has a long history of crime, with multiple cases registered against her in various police stations in Bhopal. Her arrest is a significant achievement for the Ayodhyanagar police, who have been working tirelessly to curb crime in the area. Lakshmi Yadav has been produced before the court and is currently in judicial custody.
