The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation has expedited its efforts for Swachh Survekshan 2024. An extensive campaign is being conducted in all wards to enhance cleanliness and beautification through lively wall paintings, aesthetic designs and organized artworks. Such initiatives are transforming the city’s appearance.
Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav said city beautification is a vital aspect of the cleanliness drive. Special efforts have been made to align with the vision. As a result, the city is witnessing a remarkable transformation with a cleaner and more beautiful image to its residents and visitors alike.
She said the cleanliness campaign, launched as part of Swachh Survekshan 2024 is gaining momentum. Regular maintenance activities, such as cleaning sidewalks, dividers and prominent landmarks, along with washing and repainting areas with cleanliness-themed messages have made these spaces shine.
The Municipal Commissioner highlighted specific measures to meet the standards of Swachh Survekshan 2024, GFC-level ratings and the Water Plus benchmarks.
These include branding cleanliness initiatives, creating impactful 3D and 2D paintings and spreading cleanliness awareness through organised campaigns. Regular cleaning and washing of these paintings aim to boost the city's beauty and enhance public awareness about cleanliness.
In preparation for the national-level Swachh Survekshan 2024 assessment, huge efforts and awareness messages are being carried out extensively across all divisions. Accordingly, special campaign, cleanliness drives were conducted by utilizing additional resources like 20 jet-power spray machines, alongside the efforts of sanitation workers to maintain the city’s aesthetic charm.
With these rigorous efforts, Jabalpur seeks to achieve top performance in Swachh Survekshan 2024, strengthening its commitment to a cleaner and greener future.
