Police arrest 927 offenders in 6 hour combing operation

 

 

 

In a major crackdown on crime, Bhopal police arrested 927 offenders, including 529 permanent and 398 arrest warrants, in a six-hour combing operation conducted across the city from 11 pm to 5 am. The operation, which was carried out on the intervening night of Saturday, aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring safety and security of citizens. The combing operation was led by Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra and Additional Police Commissioner Awadhesh Goswami, who briefed the police teams on importance of teamwork and sensitivity in apprehending offenders. The operation involved over 1,000 police personnel from all four zones of the city, who worked tirelessly to track down and arrest the offenders. During the operation, police also checked 152 habitual offenders and 168 surveillance offenders and took action against 1067 offenders in total.

 

The operation was monitored by senior police officials, who provided guidance and support to the teams throughout the night. Notably, Bhopal Police has been conducting regular combing operations to crackdown on crime and maintain law and order in the city. This was 16th such operation conducted by the police, and it has resulted in the arrest of a total of 9335 offenders so far. As stated, police believe that such operations will help to instill fear in the minds of offenders and prevent them from committing crimes in the future.

 

The operation has also helped to ensure the safety and security of citizens, and has contributed to maintaining peace and order in the city. Police have also taken action against offenders who were wanted in connection with serious crimes such as murder, rape, loot, and economic offenses.

 

The operation has resulted in execution of 140 bail warrants, and police are confident that it will help to bring down crime rate in the city. Bhopal Police Commissionerate has been conducting regular combing operations since February 2022 and has achieved significant success in maintaining law and order in the city. As per information, in zone 4, Nishatpura police station has arrested a total of 70 miscreants including 40 permanent and 30 arrest warrants. In zone 2, Bagh Sevaniya police station has arrested a total of 56 miscreants including 37 permanent and 19 arrest warrants. In zone 3, Hanuman Ganj police station has arrested a total of 51 miscreants including 28 permanent and 23 arrest warrants. In zone-1 area, Ratibad police station has arrested a total of 35 miscreants including 19 permanent and 16 arrest warrants. Significantly, the main objective of combing patrol is an important and special campaign of the police for the arrest and search of absconding permanent, arrest, bailable warrants, which is mainly run at night, which includes the objectives of arrest of permanent, arrest, bailable warrants issued by the Court, checking of goons and miscreants, checking of surveillance miscreants etc. Here, the police gather the force of police stations, briefs them and forms a team and sends them to the area. The officials also mentioned that the said campaign will definitely increase the fear of police and law among the criminals. Along with this, peace and security will be ensured in the city. Permanent/arrest warrants were arrested in all the police stations of the city, cases were pending in the court due to the accused absconding and warrants not being executed. With the execution of the warrant, the matter will be resolved and the victims will get justice. The warrants executed also include many serious and economic related crimes including murder, rape, robbery, check bounce, fraud.
