The Weight of Greatness

The Weight of
With every greatness comes the wound unseen,
A whisper of ache in what might have been.
The wisdom that pierces, sharp as a blade,
Knows the price that every choice has paid.
To be wise is to see the world laid bare,
Its beauty entwined with despair.
The stars that gleam are born of death,
Each glimmer whispers of a final breath.
To be kind is to carry another’s grief,
An endless river with no relief.
A heart that breaks for those in need,
Feels every cut, every silent plead.
For greatness walks a thorn-filled road,
Beneath the laurels, a heavy load.
The deeper the love, the sharper the sting,
The sweeter the song, the more sorrow it brings.
And yet, the wise dare to tread this path,
To face the storm, endure its wrath.
For they know that life is born of pain,
A fragile thread in the endless chain.
With every greatness comes the ache profound,
A silence where echoes of truths resound.
The soul that dares to rise, to climb,
Carries the scars of borrowed time.
