In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the air is thick with talk of the tribal vote bank which has been a game changer in recently held Assembly elections, now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch BJP’s campaign on Sunday from the tribal-dominated Jhabua region of the State. Concerned officials talking to ‘The Hitavada’ informed that during this visit, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Tantya Mama Bhil University and other multiple development projects worth around Rs 7,300 crore in this tribal-dominated district. Jhabua, located in the western part of Madhya Pradesh, has been the centre of tribal politics. From here, PM Modi will also influence the surrounding districts of Dhar, Ratlam and tribal areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Bhil and Bhilala tribal population reside in these areas. Three Lok Sabha seats near Jhabua in West Madhya Pradesh are reserved for tribals. Similarly, two seats in Gujarat and two seats in Rajasthan are also reserved for tribes. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Tantya Mama Bhil University and CM Rise School in Jhabua.
This university, to be developed at a cost of Rs 170 crore, will provide world-class infrastructure for the overall development of students and the school will integrate technology to provide modern facilities like smart classes, e-library like facilities to the students of this belt. Foundation stone for ‘Talavada Project’ will be laid under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 Scheme. It is a drinking water supply scheme it will help to more than one thousand villages of Dhar and Ratlam. 14 urban water supply schemes benefitting more than 50,000 urban households across multiple districts of the state. He will also distribute 1.75 lakh ‘Adhikar Abhilekh’ (record of rights) to beneficiaries of Svamitva Scheme, which will provide documentary evidence to people for the right to their land.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, PM Modi will also transfer funds of Rs 55.9 crore for 559 villages for various kinds of construction activities, including Anganwadi Bhawans, fair price shops, health centres, additional rooms in schools, and internal roads. During the programme, the Prime Minister will dedicate several railway projects to the nation and lay the foundation stone for several projects including redevelopment of Ratlam Railway Station and Meghnagar Railway Station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The railway projects dedicated to the nation include the double of Indore-Dewas-Ujjain Sea Cabin Railway line. Apart from this, North-South grade separator along with Itarsi yard remodelling and the third line connecting Barkhera-Budhni-Itarsi route.
