AL AZIZ scored two goals in first half to beat Rahul Academy in the JSW NDFA Senior Division Football Tournament being played at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar. Al Aziz had to toil hard for more than half an hour to find the opening. Mohd Faizan put his side ahead in the 38th minute and Atwar doubled the lead two minutes later. Rahul Academy tried hard to score a goal but could not do so in the entire second half. Sarfaraz Ahmed of Al Aziz and Shaza Shikle and Dushyant Pendam of Rahul Academy were cautioned.

 

SPORTIAN FC WIN  FIRST DIVISION OPENER

Sportian FC made an opening statement with an easy 3-0 win over Aai Foundation in opening match of the JSW NDFA First Division tournament which got under way on Monday morning. It was Aryan Thute’s double strikes in the first half which helped Sportian take a two-goal lead. Thute scored the goals in 9th and 30th minutes. Dev Gawande scored third goal in the 45th minute as Sportian FC cruised home easily. In another match, Star Boys edged past Xcite Play 1-0 with Atul scoring the only goal of the match.
