Digital inaugural ceremony of Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan Yojana (PM-UShA) was organised at Pandit Kunjilal Dubey auditorium, Rani Durgavati University on Tuesday. The inaugural ceremony was attended by MLA Cantt, Ashok Rohani, MLA Jabalpur North Central, Dr. Abhilash Pandey, MLA, Sihora, Santosh Badkade as special guests. Vice-chancellor, RDU, Professor Rajesh Kumar Verma presided over the ceremony. Executive Member, Chandrashekhar Patel and Registrar, Dr. Deepesh Mishra were also present. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi graced the programme through virtual platform and inaugurated the scheme. The auditorium was packed with the professors, guest faculties, employees and students who heard the message conveyed by the Prime Minister.
 
Addressing the gathering, MLA Rohani said that the Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav has given top priority to education. The State Government receives all support from the Central Government to pave way for progress of academic field.PM-UShA is one of the major pillars to practically implement the concept of Viksit Bharat introduced by the Prime Minister, which will ensure a bright future for the youths. MLA Pandey said that the Prime Minister has fixed the target to build ‘Viksit Bharat’ on the theme of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’. Everyone’s support and contribution is required to achieve the aim of constructive development of university. With everyone’s cooperation, we will definitely match the academic status of Madhya Pradesh to that of the country.
 
MLA Barkade extended his gratitude towards the Prime Minister, Modi for approving the grant of Rs. 20 crores under PM-UShA. Vice-chancellor, Professor Verma informed that RDU has received the grant of Rs. 20 crore under PM-UShA to excel new heights in the field of education. The amount will be used for enhance the University’s excellence in the field of education and research as per National Education Policy so that Rani Durgavati University can be transformed into a world-class university. The programme was anchored by Dean Student Welfare, Professor Vivek Mishra.
