State Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister, Narayan Singh Kushwaha, who is also the State President of BJP’s Backward Class Morcha has made a significant statement in regards with 27 per cent OBC reservation, on Saturday. When media questioned him about OBC reservation during his visit to the city, Kushwaha said ‘it is not an issue’. It may be noted that the issue of 27 per cent OBC reservation is currently pending in the court and the demand for it has gained attention across Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, Kushwaha’s not considering the 27 per cent OBC reservation as an issue has raised various questions.
The BJP’s State President of Backward Class Morcha, Narayan Singh Kushwaha visited Jabalpur to participate in many programmes, on Saturday. When media persons asked him about the 27 OBC reservation being entangled in the judicial process, the minister immediately dismissed it as a non-issue. Regarding the pension of disabled persons, the Minister of Social Justice stated that the process is underway and will be increased soon. When asked the differently-abled students are staging a sit-in protest in Jabalpur regarding facilities, the Disability Welfare Minister said that India is a free country and everyone has the right to express their opinions.
In regard to the pension of disabled person, Minister Kushwaha said that everything is moving ahead according to the process. “It has been only a month and a half since I became the minister and I have initiated the process. Soon, in the upcoming financial year, the pension of all disabled persons will be increased”. He said whether it is the social security pension for the elderly or providing relief to all differently-abled persons, the government is working for everyone, taking everyone along.
