“Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will virtually lay foundation stone for redevelopment and renovation of 554 railway stations and 1,500 road over bridge and underpass throughout the country, on February 26. Redevelopment of Jabalpur Railway Station will be carried out on the basis of Rani Kamlapati Station, Bhopal while two new rail lines will be laid with the budget of Rs 460 crores”, informed by Vivek Sheel, Divisional Rail Manager Jabalpur while addressing a press conference, on Saturday. DRM Jabalpur, Vivek Sheel informed that PM, Narendra Modi already laid foundation stone for renovation works of 11 railway stations in Jabalpur Rail Division under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana on August 6, 2023 include Katni Junction with Rs 30 crore, Katni Mudwara Rs 22 crore, Katni South Rs 20.6 crore, Damoh Rs 25 crore, Gadarwara Rs 23 crore, Shridham Rs 21.5 crore, Maihar Rs 21.4 crore, Kareli Rs 20 crore, Sihora Road Rs 19 crore, Rewa Rs 17.5 crore and Sagar station is being renovated with Rs 17.5 crore. Besides this, PM Modi will lay foundation stone of four more stations on February 26 include Narsinghpur, Piparia, Beohari and Bargavan while two ROBs and one LHS will also be constructed with the budget of Rs 173 crore.
 
Redevelopment of Jabalpur Railway Station will be carried out with two new rail lines, separate escalators for entry and exit from first of the three floored railway station where advanced facilities of waiting hall, cafeteria, food-plaza, snacks and other passengers’ facilities as per international standards. DPR of the project was sent to the Rail Ministry which is likely to be approved within 2-3 days. Similarly, redevelopment of Satna railway station is being carried out with the budget of Rs 272 crores. Senior public representatives along with railway officers and residents will present to witness the virtual foundation laying and inauguration of completed projects by PM, Narendra Modi. During the press conference, DCM, Neetesh Kumar Sone, Senior DEE, BN Mishra and ACM, Gunnar Singh were present.
