Rainfall and hailstorm have began in southern part of State on Monday. Orange alert was issued for 12 districts, including Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara and Seoni, and Yellow alert was sounded for Jabalpur, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Harda and Narsinghpur. Wind speed in these areas was 30 to 50 kmph. Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), Bhopal, stated that by February 28, most parts of State will be receiving rainfall. On February 27, 31 districts would have strong rain system. State capital Bhopal saw cloud cover throughout the day on Monday. On February 26, Gwalior and Chambal division received light rainfall. Weather scientists said that cyclonic line is bringing moisture in State. A turf line is passing from Bihar and Chhattisgarh to Telangana. Scientists said wind is blowing in border area of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha due to which south-east part of Madhya Pradesh is receiving moisture. Till February 28, hail storm, speedy wind, rainfall will be recording in state.
On Monday, western disturbance affected the weather condition in Jabalpur, Indore and Narmadapuram division. Yellow alert was there for Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Narsinghpur, Damoh, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Dindori, Umaria, Shahdol and Anupur. Rainfall was received in Narmadapuram, Betul, Chindwara and Sheoni and some areas also received small sized hail storm. Lightning, thunder and light rainfall was recorded in Shahdol, Umaria. For February 27, IMD has forecast system to be active in most part of State and orange alert is released for Narmadapuram, Narsinghpur, Betul, Chhindwara, Jabalpur and Damoh. Yellow alert is released for Bhopal, Shajapur, Sehore, Dewas, Khandwa, Harda, Burhanpur, Raisen, Sehore, Dewas, Khandwa, Harda, Burhanpur, Raisen, Vidisha, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Katni, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Singrauli, Sidhi, Shahdol, Anupur, Umaria, Dindori, Mandla, Seoni, Balaghat and nearby areas.
IMD said that these areas would be recording rainfall, hailstorm and speedy wind. For February 28, system would be weakened and light rainfall is expected to receive in Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Jabalpur, Mandla and Dindori along with thunder and lightning. Weather scientists said that current system would not be affecting Ujjain, Gwalior and Chambal division. Only southern part of Indore will be receiving rainfall, hail storm and wind. Maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 27.6 degrees Celsius and minimum 14.5 degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature as 26.4 degrees Celsius and minimum 11.5 degrees Celsius. Indore recorded maximum temperature 27.9 degrees Celsius and minimum 15.2 degrees Celsius. Ujjain recorded maximum temperature 28.7 degrees Celsius and minimum 15.0 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature 27.8 degrees Celsius and minimum 15.6 degrees Celsius.
