After the Harda firecracker factory incident, the State Government swung in to action and the Opposition started levelling serious allegations against administration and pointed towards political support to the culprits. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, Madhya Pradesh Congress Media Department President K K Mishra expressed deep regret over the massive explosion in the firecracker factory in Harda and the deaths of innocent people in it. Blaming administrative incompetence for this incident he raised the question that under whose political patronage was this factory running?
“In past too after the explosion in the same factory, court had punished the owner of this factory Raju Agrawal and his companion with 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 each on charges of Section 5 (a) of the Explosives Act, 1908. Despite all this, accused is operating this factory again. Who (politician) has helped him to renew the license?”
Congress has demanded the State Government to give a compensation of Rs 1 crore each to the family members of the innocent person who died in the tragic incident. On the directions of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Jitu Patwari to investigate the situation of the explosive incident that took place in the firecracker factory in Harda, a committee has been formed by the State Congress. State Congress Vice President and organisation in-charge Rajeev Singh confirmed about the investigation team saying a committee comprising P C Sharma and MP Congress Committee Tribal Department Chairman Ramu Tekam has been formed. Both the members of the committee have left for Harda to investigate the incident.
