Hot debate on Mahadev app A total of 90 FIRs registered in case from 2022 till now

An intense debate transpired on the Mahadev Satta app on the query of BJP MLA Rajesh Munat in the State Legislative Assembly during question hour on Thursday. State Home Minister Vijay Sharma revealed that a total of 90 FIRs have been registered in the Mahadev Satta App case from 2022 till now. This includes 36 from Raipur, 23 from Durg, 4 from Surguja, and 2 each from Bilaspur and Janjgir. Sharma further stated that the identities of 507 suspicious bank accounts have been identified. Transactions worth Rs. 221 crores have taken place from these accounts. Currently, Rs. 1 crore 16 lakhs from these accounts has been frozen. Answering the sharp queries of MLAs, the State’s Home Minister Vijay Sharma announced that no one would be spared in this matter. Action will be taken against anyone found involved during the investigation, whether they are big fish or small fry. Sharma disclosed that the asset of individuals involved in the case is being confiscated. A list of those guests who travelled to Dubai via charter planes is also being compiled.
Deputy Chief Minister Sharma mentioned that efforts are underway to identify the properties of absconding individuals in this case. The identities of wedding guests who went to Dubai via charter planes from Nagpur are also being ascertained. Their list has been requested. No one will be spared. Sharma also informed that the Central Investigation Agency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), is investigating this matter. The ED’s investigation is in its final stage. Home Minister Sharma stated that the ED, which is investigating the Mahadev App Satta case, has not yet shared any official information with the state government. He informed that as of February 5, no letter or official information has been received from the ED to the state government. In response, Rajesh Munat accused the officials of misleading the government. Munat stated that the ED had sent a letter to the state government on January 3. A reminder was also sent by the ED on January 30 regarding this letter. Munat stated that some officials were trying to save the high-profile names in the matter. Munat also mentioned the statement of arrested ASI Chandra Bhushan Verma.
In response, Home Minister Sharma reiterated that no official information has been shared by the Enforcement Directorate with the state government yet. He also clarified that the government is not trying to save anyone. Whoever is found involved, regardless of how influential they are, will face action, Sharma assured. Rikesh Sen, MLA from Vaishali Nagar, demanded an investigation into the role of police officers stationed in Durg during the last 5 years. He also alleged that officers were taking hefty amounts every month from the operators of the Mahadev app. In the meantime, BJP MLA Dharmjeet Singh suggested emulating the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to use bulldozer action against the accused. He said that the police should instil fear among the criminals.
