The All India Police Games (Volleyball Cluster) was inaugurated on Thursday at Shiv Chhatrapati Stadium, Police Lines Takli ground. Director General of Police (Maharashtra) Rashmi Shukla was present during the inaugural function. Commissioner of Police Dr Ravindra Singal, Commissioner of State Intelligence Department Shirish Jain, Joint Commissioner of Police Ashwati Dorje, Inspector General of Police (Administration) Dr Arti Singh, Inspector General of Police (Nagpur Zone) Chering Dorje, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) and Organising Secretary Sanjay Patil and other senior officers also graced the occasion.
Rashmi Shukla inaugurated the Games by lighting the flame. International kho-kho player police constable Shubham Jambhale took the flame of the competition. The players of the participating teams paraded on the ground under the leadership of Reserve Police Inspector Tiwari. A total of 38 police forces including state reserve Police Force and Central Reserve Police Force participated in this parade.
