Nagpur Branch Office of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently conducted a two-day residential training programme, for mentors of Standard Clubs formed in schools / colleges. This is the Fourth such training programme organized by BIS, Nagpur for mentors from Nagpur, Amravati, Wardha, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gondia, Hingoli and Jalna.
Around 71 mentors from different schools and colleges attended the training programme. Raunak Sukhdeve, Scientist C / Deputy Director, BIS, Nagpur Branch Office, delivered a welcome address. Sarvesh Trivedi, Scientist C / Deputy Director BIS, Nagpur, steered through over view of BIS.
Yenu Shahu, Graduate Engineer explained the audience about the types and structure of standards in detail.
Sandesh Gokanwar, Scientist C / Deputy Director at BIS, Nagpur, undertook a series of group activities. Isha Khurana, Standard Promotion officer BIS, Nagpur, explained the guidelines for the formation of Standard Clubs in detail.
A programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Hemant B Ade Scientist E / Director & Head, BIS, Nagpur Branch Office.
