employees of Department of Income Tax staged demonstration to press for their 8-point demands at Income Tax Headquarters premises, on Wednesday. Through the demonstration, employees raised demand for promotion and regularising temporary status employees. During the demonstration, employees raised slogans for fulfilling their long awaited demands. The demonstration was staged under the leadership of Additional Secretary, Heera Lal Usrethe, Circle, Secretary, Roopchand Prajapati, Presidnet, Dheerendra Kumar Wasnik, Branch Secretary, Deepak Kushwaha, Finance Secretary, Priyal Sharma, Executive Members, Ajay Sahu, Sanjeev Jain, Arvind Tiwari and Kamta Prasad.
It was informed that according to rules of DOPT in the new recruitment rules of the said Recruitment Rules of the Office Superintendent and Stenographer Grade-1, protection Clause for Existing Employees, one time relaxation promotion on vacant posts, inter charge transfer, promotion of Tax Assistant to senior tax assistant category, down-gradation of posts and regularization of daily wage earners. Demand was made that with the coming of new recruitment rules, promotion of current employees will be done in 10-years instead of three. Therefore, one time relaxation is being demanded.
Employees are protesting against change in draft recruitment rules. This movement is being held from Monday at entire Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The said phased agitation and demonstration is being carried out in three phases in all the Income Tax Offices including Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Raipur, Bilaspur, Ujjain under the circle. During this, demands are being made from the Central Board of Direct Taxes, New Delhi by discussing recruitment rules of employees and other issues with the Department of Personnel and Training, to find immediate solutions and take satisfactory action on the demands.
