The sinking ship of Congress has suffered another blow in the district. More than 40 Congress leaders, including former Congress MLA from Chourai, Gambhir Singh, expressed faith in the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Influenced by the customs and policies of BJP, he has accepted the membership of the party. On Wednesday, all 40 congress leaders along with former MLA, Gambhir Singh had reached Bhopal under the leadership of District BJP President, Vivek Bunty Sahu. All the people joined the BJP family in the presence of State BJP President and MP, Vishnu Dutt Sharma and State Convener of New Joining Group, Dr. Narottam Mishra. Other Congress leaders joining BJP include Kisan Congress President, Shrichand Chauriya, District Congress Committee Vice President, Satish Mishra, Harrai District President,. Kanchana Uike, Chourai Leader of Opposition Municipality, Arjun Raghuvanshi, Harrai District Panchayat Member, Reeti Uike, Former Seva Dal Block President of Tamia, Mahesh Sahu, Bharati Samaj Block President, Chhotalal Bharti, Bijori Sarpanch, Santosh Parteti, Lahgadua Sarpanch, Radheshyam Parteti, Sajkuhi Sarpanch, Sumarlal Parteti, Pandupipariya Sarpanch, Julie Bharti, Jamundhoga Sarpanch, Lakshmi Prasad Kakodia, Vagai Sarpanch, Dhanakodia Sarpanch Ramwati. Bharti, former sarpanch Khapakhurd, Ishwar Parteti, Ghusawani Sarpanch, Baldev Dhurve, district member Tamiya, Jagdish Uike, Raja Dehariya, Raghuvanshi Samaj President from Chourai Assembly Rajendra Thakur, acting Block President Harrai, Ram Uike, Dhooplal Uike of Gondwana, PG College Alumni Association President, Parvez Thakur and others took membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
 
On this occasion, State Government Minister Aidal Singh Kansana, Party’s State Media In-charge, Ashish Aggarwal, former MLA, Natthan Shah, Lakhan Verma, Monica Batti, Kisan Morcha District President, Sanjay Patel, Antyodaya cell district convenor Arvind Rajput, BJYM District In-charge, Saurabh Thakur Santosh Patel and other BJP leaders were present.
