Emphasising that Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ideology is commitment to development of the nation, the party abhors discrimination with anyone on basis of their caste or religion. Hence today the seeds of develpment has reached to the last man in the society through the concept of Antyoday, asserted Union Minister Nitin Gadkari while addressing party workers in North Nagpur on Monday. As he listed the various development intiatives taken during the last ten-years, Gadkari focussed on North Nagpur saying several important works relating to easing connectivity with East and Central Nagpur were initiated by construction of under passes and fly-overs. Besides many more projects like pollution abatement of Pili Nadi would be taken-up with Naag River at cost of Rs 2, 400 crores. In future, North Nagpur would be one of the most developed part of city as winds of change would also better lives of people here He was addressing North Nagpur BJP booth Shakti Kendra and office bearers meeting at Prahlad Lawn, Teka Naka. Senior BJP leaders Sanjay Bhende; Jitendra alias Bunty Kukde, President, BJP; Nagpur City Unit; Dr Milind Mane, ex-MLA; Prabhakarrao Yeole, Virendra Kukreja, ex-corporators, Ashwini Jichkar, General Secretary, State BJP's Women Wing; Ashok Mende, Dwarka Prasad Yadav, Sanjay Chaudhary, Navneet Singh Tuli, Rajesh Hathibed and others were prominently present.
Referring to claims being advanced by Opposition parties that BJP is aiming to change the constitution, Gadkari pointed out that the maximum amendments to the constitution drafted by Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar were done during the Congress rule. Due to desperation Congress is spreading false propaganda about BJP and on the contrary it was BJP that Deekshabhoomi is being developed to international standards. Had we been anti-dalit as being claimed then how come funds were provided for Deekshabhoomi and Shantivan in Chicholi development, questioned Gadkari as he denounced politics of hatred and division being spread by Congress leaders. Speaking further, Gadkari said that the hard work of the workers will ensure that there will be good lead from North Nagpur. People can see what works have been done in this city in last 10-years.

The biggest problem plaguing North Nagpur is that one lakh people are suffering from Sickle cell and Thalassemia and Gadkari said that he is trying to provide for free treatment to all afflicted patients. He talked of making North Nagpur Sickle Cell free. North Nagpur was deprived of development for many years, but Gadkari painstaking efforts has changed the landscape of the backward part of city, said Ganesh Kantode, a booth level BJP workers.
