UNION Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Friday issued a legal notice to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge after the opposition party uploaded an interview on 'X' that former claimed is far from facts and is defamatory in nature. Gadkari has also issue notice to Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh and it is mentioned that his comments were deliberately twisted with an aim to defame and mislead the people. Also in the notice, Gadkari mentioned that Congress Party aim was to create rift within the BJP and spread misinformation and create confusion among citizens. He also mentioned that BJP is set to contest the forthcoming general elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On Friday, Congress uploaded an interview given by Gadkari to a television channel and create an impression that former stated that today people living village, labourers are unhappy as there is no pure drinking water, nor there is school or good hospital. Gadkari termed the said slicing selective parts of interview and distorting it and said it is a sinister act aimed at tarnishing his image. The Union Minister has asked Kharge and Ramesh to delete the from Congress Wall on ‘X’ within 24 hours. Also Gadkari has sought written apology from the Congress leaders within next three days of the receipt of legal notice or otherwise warned for taking legal recourse, including Civil and Criminal actions.
The notice by Gadkari said the 19 seconds audio and visual clipping conceals the contextual intent and meaning of the interview and selective portion was sliced and uploaded to mislead people. The aim of the Congress was to fan and create confusion, sensation and disrepute Gadkari in the eyes of public at large and also a futile endeavour to built fissure and rift in the solidarity of BJP which is all poised to win trust of people in upcoming general election under the leadership of PM. Gadkari in the notice also pointed out that Congress has been rejected in the electoral battle of States and also in General election and hence they are trying to build a false and fictitious narrative.
