ROSHAN Namdev Sahare, Director of Roshan Sir Chess Academy, Gadchiroli, cleared the FIDE trainer exam during the FIDE Trainer Seminar recently conducted by All India Chess Federation at Jaipur. Roshan, who got guidance from Nagpur’s Pravin Pantawane and Deepak Chavan, became the first chess national instructor from Gadchiroli district.
The seminar was organised by Ashok Bhargava, Secretary of Rajasthan Chess Association. A total of 22 trainers from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat participated in the seminar.
 
During the seminar, experienced trainers including India’s 3rd Grandmaster Praveen Thipsay and FIDE Trainer International Master Sharad Tilak imparted valuable training to the participants. Coaches from FIDE, World Chess Federation gave training on key aspects of the position theames and use of technology. The objective of the training, examination and seminar was to train coaches to become top coaches of the country and to improve the quality of training apart from learning the use technology properly to improve the level of play for the emerging young athletes.
 
After three days of training, a written examination of all trainers was conducted. Among them, Roshan Sahare passed the exam with good marks and was given the title of National Instructor. Roshan, who hails from Dhanora taluka, gives the credit of his success to his parents Vibha and Namdeo Sahare, Dr Appalwar family and guidance given from Omkar Jadhav Nashik, Praveen Pantawane and Deepak Chavan from Nagpur. He also thanked Gadchiroli Amateur Chess Association and Maharashtra Chess Association.
