The Lady Entrepreneurs Wing of Vidarbha Industries Association conducted a panel discussion on “Deal Pakki - Women who tamed the Sharks” here at VIA Hall in Civil Lines. Nagpur’s three dynamic women entrepreneurs whose ventures got funded in Sony TV’s ‘Shark Tank’, shared their experiences with the participants. Kanika Dewani, Founder of Mintree Cosmetics Pvt Ltd; Chahat Pahuja, Co-founder & Creative Director of Farda Clothing Pvt Ltd; and Dhivya Subburaju, Director of Xpand Life Pvt. Ltd. were the panelists. During the discussion, the panelists advised, the lady entrepreneurs to build a strong network and establish clear goals in your life for growth of their ventures. They also shared the secret of perfect pitching for attracting investments and advised the participants to focus on building a strong brand and practicing soft skills with energy and honesty.

 

Further, they highlighted the important of mentorship and supporting women in the workplace. The panelists also shared their wonderful experiences with ‘Sharks’, and said the show was very encouraging. Dr Anita Rao moderated the session while Yogita Deshmukh, Secretary VIA–LEW summed up the session and proposed a vote of thanks. Earlier, Rashmi Kulkarni, Chairperson – VIALEW, in her welcome address said pitching is crucial to obtain funding. Rashmi Kulkarni, Yogita Deshmukh and Sarita Pawar welcomed the panelists with floral bouquets. Mementos were presented by Anjali Gupta, Vandana Sharma and Reeta Lanjewar. Saniya Ramchandani, Poonam Gupta, Poonam Lala, Immd Past Chairperson – LEW, Neelam Bowade, LEW members, lady entrepreneurs and others attended the session.
