Maharashtra are mini golf champs

 

 

 

 

 

 

BY WINNING men and women team events, Maharashtra emerged overall champions in the 9th Senior Mini Golf Championship that concluded at Divisional Sports Complex. The nationals was organised by Nagpur District Mini Golf Association, Maharashtra Mini Golf Association under the aegis of Mini Golf Federation of India. In the team event, Maharashtra men beat Uttarakhand while women got the better of Odisha in the final. In men’s singles, Maharashtra’s Sudip Manwatkar and Sudhir Suhagpure won gold and silver respectively while Uttarakhand’s Mandip Singh won bronze. Uttarakhand’s Sanjay and Mayank won the doubles title.

 

In women’s singles, Jyoti Kiradkar of Maharashtra bagged the crown and in doubles, State-mates Laadli and Pratiksha won the title. Police Commissioner Dr Ravinder Singal was chief guest of the prize distribution function. MLA Krishna Khopde, former MLAs Sudhakar Kohale and Sudhakar Deshmukh; Charansingh Thakur, Navneet Tuli, Dr Pravin Manwatkar, Dr Surajsingh Yeotikar, Jagdish Ganbhoj, Dr Piyush Ambulkar, Dr Darshana Pandit, Ketan Thakare, Sanjay Thorat, Surendra Chavan and others were present.
