Bhopal district administration claimed to have freed around 95.50 acres land worth Rs 105 crore from Mafia and encroachers that will be used to construct houses for the poor and other purpose.
Taking cognizance of the land Mafia and illegal colonisers in city, district administration has made the lands worth Rs 105 free from encroachment within two days. Action has been taken under the guidance of District Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh in MP Nagar and Bairagarh circle. Sources said that Collectorate is also making a list of encroachers at public place for further action. District administration said that process of making the public property free from encroachers. “We have taken strict actions against many people and organisations indulge in developing illegal colonies and also duping buyers through different means,” said SDM of Bairagarh Vinod Sonkia.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bairagarh Vinod Sonkia informed that illegal plots were being issued in Badwai, Krishna Kunj and Palasi area of Najul without previous permission of concern authority and complaint for the same was being received for many days.
He said, on direction of the Collector and regional MLA, encroachment was removed from land worth Rs 80 crore within two days in Bairagarh area. He said that land around 15.50 acre was freed from encroachers in two days. He said that a builder was making plot with encroachment above a Government nullah. There was no previous consent of RERA or coloniser license.
In Khajuri Kala area situated under MP Nagar circle, encroachment was removed from Government land. The five acre land was allocated to the State Women and Child Development Department. The land Mafias have made kuccha houses, harvested wheat crops etc.
The land worth Rs 25 crore was encroached by six people. District administration, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Police team jointly worked to make the public property and Government land free from encroachers.
The administration has started taking action against the illegal encroachers at public property after a long gap.
On March 7, FIR was lodged at Nishatpura Police Station against many people for making colony without previous permission of concern authority. Police has started processing legal action against the alleged people. According to reports, FIR has been lodged against Dilip Pandoli, Rahul, Ashok, Jaishree, Ravikumar and other people for illegally issuing plot in Gokul Nagar Palasi on complaint of Devendra Sharma. Earlier, district administration and BMC team jointly worked to make the restricted site of Bhadbhada dam free from encroachment.
In this campaign around 386 families were asked to vacant the area in three days. The campaign received many hue and cry from the illegal residents and locals leaders.
