“Dr Babasahab Ambedkar is respected by all. He is responsible for making an all-inclusive Constitution, giving equal rights to all citizens. With no agenda against the Modi-led Government, the Opposition parties are trying to mislead people by spreading misinformation about the Constitution and reservation, that if Modi came to power again, he will change the Constitution and curb reservations. I would like to ask the Congress party that during the six-decade-rule, why didn’t they confer the ‘Bharat Ratna’ on Dr Babasahab, in fact it was Congress who worked to defeat Dr Babasahab in the 1952 and 1954 elections. Congress has always disrespected Dr Ambedkar. I would like to assure the people that BJP will never curb or allow to curb the reservation till we are in politics. We were in Government with majority for two terms and we used the majority not to remove the reservation but to abrogate Article 370 and to curb the Triple Talaq Act,” lamented Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader. Shah, who was in Sakoli on Sunday, was addressing a grand public rally to campaign in favour of NDA and Mahayuti candidate Sunil Mendhe.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, NCP (Ajit Pawar) National President Praful Patel, MP Sunil Mendhe, former Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh Dr Dinesh Sharma, MLAs Vijay Rahangdale (Tirora), Manohar Chandrikapure (Arjuni Morgaon), Vinod Agrawal (Gondia), Narendra Bhondekar (Bhandara), former Minister Dr Deepak Sawant, Rajkumar Badole, Dr Parinay Fuke, Gondia ZP President Pankaj Rahangdale, ex-MLA Gopaldas Agrawal, Rajendra Jain, Dhananjay Dalal, NCP District President Premkumar Rahangdale were among the prominent to remain present on the dais. Speaking further Shah said that Kashmir is an integral part of our country, but Congress’ Kharge questions the relevance of youth from Rajasthan and Maharashtra speaking in regards to Kashmir. He doesn’t know that the youth from Bhandara and Gondia can sacrifice their lives for Kashmir if needed. “With majority it was Modiji’s government that had abrogated the Article 370 on August 5, 2019. On April 17 Ram Navami will be celebrated and for the first time in last 500 years, Lord Ram will celebrate his birthday in a grand temple. PM Modi not only solved the Ayodhya issue but also performed the foundation laying of the temple and inaugurated the temple. His government has developed Baba Vishwanath corridor, the renovation works of Badrinath, Kedarnath and Somnath Temples are being done with gold. PM Modi is redeveloping religious centres.

We have destroyed terrorist launch pads through ‘Surgical Strike’ by entering into the borders of Pakistan and this is ‘Modi ki Guarantee’. The PM has also ended naxalism in many states and in his third term, we assure to curb the naxalism from Chhatisgarh in next three years,” Shah asserted. On the Congress manifesto, Shah said that he wants to remind Rahul Gandhi that it was his grandmother Indira Gandhi who used to promise to remove poverty from the country, but she came and went; afterwards Rajiv Gandhi came and went back; then Sonia Gandhi came and went and now Rahul Gandhi is here making same promises, but his party has not removed poverty. On the other hand, Modi government has helped around 25 crore people in overcoming the poverty. Today the government is giving free ration to around 80 crore people, toilets have been constructed in more than 12 crore homes, pure drinking water has been provided to around 14 crore homes through taps and in the next five years people will get gas through pipeline.

“During the Congress rule only 76 lakh farmers were getting benefit of government purchases, the number under Modi Government’s period has gone up to 1.22 crore,” Shah claimed. He also questioned Sharad Pawar about the development he has done during the Congress Government for Maharashtra. “BJP is not responsible for the division of either Shiv Sena or NCP. In the next 5 years we will work towards making ‘Bharat Mahaan’. In our next regime we will implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC), will amend to hold Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections together, among other works,” Shah assured. He asked the people to vote for Mendhe and support Modi in becoming PM for the third time. Earlier Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, MP Praful Patel and MP Sunil Mendhe also addressed the gathering. He urged people to vote for Mahayuti candidate. Former MLA Rajesh (Bala) Kashiwar conducted the proceedings and Bhandara District BJP President Prakash Barbudhe proposed a vote of thanks. More than 20,000 people from Gondia and Bhandara districts were present.
