A team of Food Department raided an illegal gas refilling centre operated at a snacks corner at Madan Mahal Railway Station Road, on Wednesday. Team has seized 5 domestic LPG cylinders, 2 electronic weighing machines, 2 electric motors, 2 unauthorized regulators, 2 rubber pipes etc from illegal gas refilling centre at Pawanputra Snacks Corner and registered a case against shop owner Sudhir Gupta. It may be noted that under the direction of Collector, Deepak Saxena, Food Department started special campaign against illegal operation of gas refilling centre in the district.
 
According to the Food Department, action on information about operation of illegal gas refilling centre near Madan Mahal railway station road. Taking prompt action on the information, team conducted a secret survey. Once the information was confirmed, Food Department team raided the identified spot and found five domestic cylinders and other equipments used for illegal filling of LPG in vehicle gas kit. District Food Department has registered a case against the owner of snacks corner under the provisions of Essential Commodity Act 1955 and Liquid Petroleum Gas Supply and Distribution Order 2000. The raid was conducted by team comprised of Junior Supply Officer, Neelam Upadhyay, Bhawna Tiwari, Kunjan Singh and Siddharth Roy.
