The two-day Rashtriya Gurmat Sammelan concluded on Monday at Gurudwara Premnagar Madan Mahal. On the occasion, Sahib Giani Raghuvir Singh, Jatthedar Shri Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar attended the programme and praised the organizer S Ajit Singh Nair and Sardar Manohar Singh Reel, the head of Jabalpur Sikh Sangat. He also honoured them with siropas and blessed them. During the programme, Jathedar Baldev Singh, In-charge of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, said that such events are vital for social unity and serve as an inspiring milestone for future generations.
The ragis (devotional singers) of Shri Darbar Sahib presented soulful Gurbaani kirtan (hymns) during the occasion. At the end, with the ardas (prayer) for universal welfare, Guru langar was taken by devotees from all classes and religions, establishing the example of human unity.
Ranjit Singh Gugli conducted the proceedings of the programme while Surinder Singh Hora proposed a vote of thanks. Manjit Singh Nanda honored the sewadars with siropas. A grand kirtan darbar (devotional music session) was organized where thousands of devotees gathered, bowed before the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and received the blessed karah prasad (sacred offering). It may be noted that Jathedar Sahib Giani Raghubir Singh Ji, the head of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar, Punjab arrived in the city, on Sunday. The Sikh community accorded him a grand welcome.
They carried out grand vehicle procession and took Jathedar Sahib to Gurudwara Premnagar, where he performed the matha tekna (offering obeisance) and offered ardas. As Jathedar Sahib was given the status of state guest by the Madhya Pradesh government, so he stayed at the Circuit House No. 1. Jathedar Baldev Singh Ogara, In-charge of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also accompanied him.
