Principal Secretary, Public Works, DP Ahuja inspected the ongoing construction of the longest flyover of the State extension between Damohnaka and Madan Mahal, on Tuesday. He appreciated the quality of ongoing construction and instructed to complete the same till October. Principal Secretary, Ahuja was in the city to inspect the ongoing construction of flyover. During the inspection which lasted for 3 hours, he checked the quality of construction of Cable Stay Bridge constructed above Madan Mahal Railway Station and collected details about it’s technical aspects.
Chief Engineer, PWD Jabalpur, SC Verma updated the Principal Secretary that approved by the Central Road Fund, it is the longest flyover of Madhya Pradesh with the length of 6.85 km. almost 95 percent of the construction between Damohnaka and Madan Mahal, is completed, whereas 50 percent of the construction of Damohnaka Extension is done.
The Principal Secretary was informed that it is the country’s longest Cable Stay Bridge above the railway line, whose 80 percent of the construction is completed. Only 40 percent of the construction remains.
The Principal Secretary mentioned the technique being adopted in the construction of Cable Stay Bridge a unique example, which will be acknowledged across the country for it’s quality and technology. During inspection of segment construction of flyover extension at Damohnaka square, he instructed the contractor to complete the construction as per workplan. He also instructed the concerned officers of the department to ensure regular monitoring of the ongoing construction. Superintendent Engineer, Gopal Gupta, Executive Engineer, Shivendra Singh, Pradeep Padwar, Project Engineer, Nirmal Shrivastava and Pramesh Kori, Project Sub-Engineer, Indrapal Parte, Team Leader, Shriniwas Rao, General Manager, NCC, Srihari Raju, Vijay Kumar Mishra Director, Construction Company were present during inspection.
