IG Anil Singh Kushwaha appreciates decline in crime in last 4 months

Inspector General of Police Jabalpur Zone, Anil Singh Kushwaha on Wednesday, chaired a meeting to review the crime cases registered and in pendency since last 4 months in all the districts. The meeting was attended by DIGs and Superintendents of Police of Jabalpur zone including Sachin Atulkar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Chindwara Range, TK. Student, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jabalpur Range, SP Jabalpur, Aditya Pratap Singh, SP Katni, Abhijeet Kumar Ranjan, SP Narsinghpur, Amit Kumar, SP Chhindwara, Marnish Khatri, SP Pandurna, Rajesh Tripathi, SP Seoni, Guru Dutt Sharma, ASP Jabalpur, Sonakshi Saxena and Aditya Patle, Trainee I.PS.. During the meeting which lasted for more than 5 hours, IGP Jabalpur reviewed the crimes registered and pending crimes in the last 4 months in all the districts.
 
Concern was expressed over the unexpected increase in crime graph in Pandurna district, the SP was instructed to analyze the reasons for rising crime graph and initiate action to reduce the same. The IG appreciated the declining graph of total crime in the zone in last 4 months as compared to last year. Due to effective preventive action, there was a reduction in crimes of rape and outraging modesty in districts Jabalpur, Katni and Seoni. The IG instructed to initiate a campaign against illegal liquor sellers, ganja/smack sellers and users, gambling, betting and to get orders passed by conducting prompt hearing in the cases of exile registered in the district and conduct strict checking of exiled persons in the districts. He ordered to immediately resolve the crime committed against the people of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste and provide immediate rellef amount to the victim.
 
He further reviewed the cases of murder, attempt to murder, rape in which the accused were not arrested yet and asked to make sincere efforts to nab the absconding accused, announce rewards, conduct property attachment proceedings, speedy arrest of the accused and crackdown on property related crimes. In the cases of theft and robbery, he instructed to ensure maximum conviction by monitoring the accused during the trial. He instructed to launch a campaign to rescue the missing boys/giris who have not been recovered. Rape cases in which DNA match reports are still not received from the Forensic Science Laboratory for a long time, were also reviewed. During review of missing test reports of DNA matching, the IG found cases which remain pending for a long time in district Seoni and Chhindwara and instructed to send special vehicle to get the test reports and present it in front of the Court, so that the trial of the case in the court can be proceeded.
