Brushing up for the Counting Day: CEO inspects counting centres in Sehore, Dewas, Indore

Reviewing the preparations for the counting day, state chief electoral officer (CEO) Anupam Rajan on Thursday, inspected counting centres at Kendriya Vidyalaya at Dewas and Government Women Polytechnic College in Sehore. Notably, on June 4, counting for 5 and 4 legislative assemblies in the districts will be conducted at the centres. The State CEO inspected the assembly wise counting rooms made in the centre and reviewed the preparations. He also inspected the places made for the counting of postal ballots and grilled the officials on the security management of the centres and took information about the number of polling officials, tables and other commodities dedicated for the counting.
 
Rajan also monitored the live display of CCTV footages made for the representatives of the candidates and gave important directions on gripping the security of the strong room. While inspecting, he directed the officials to ensure proper electric supply and the proper management of facilities at the counting centre. At Dewas, the state CEO was informed that the counting of Dewas and Hatpipaliya will be done on the ground floor of the centre at different halls whereas the counting for the remaining assemblies of the district including Bagli, Khategaon, Sonkacchh will be will be done on the first floor at different rooms. Rajan was accompanied by district election officers (DEOs) of respective districts of Dewas and Sehore i.e., Rishav Gupta and Praveen Singh during the visit to the counting centre. Various other officials were also present during the same.
