To ensure compliance of rules at the vocational units, hotel, restaurants, private hospitals and nursing homes, medical stores and academic institutions, the team constituted by the District Administration, led by SDM Kundam, Monika Baghmare, conducted inspection by Garha-based Apple Hospital. After finding that Apple Hospital was operated without registration and license, the investigation team restricted the admission of new patients in the hospital. Not even a single doctor was present there during inspection. The team comprised of CSP Garha, Devendra Pratap Singh, Dr. Naveen Kothari from Health Department and officers from other departments.
SDM, Baghmare informed that in absence of doctors, the patients were attended by the nursing staff when surprise inspection was carried out. In contrary to the fixed standards, beds in ICU were closely installed. The transformer in the hospital was out-of-order while there was no electrical safety certificate. The team member also found that the electrical wiring inside the hospital was not of proper guage while there was no arrangement for emergency exit in the hospital. In view of lack of registration and other drawbacks, the hospital management was instructed to shift the patients admitted there to other hospitals with the help of Health Department.
Simultaneously, the management was advised not to admit new patients until they obtain license. The team also inspected the medical store attached to the hospital and in lack of documents, the Drug Department sealed the same. The SDM Kundam further informed that after Apple Hospital, the team conducted inspection at Rajasthan Mishthan Bhandar, Madan Mahal. The team collected samples of Khowa, food colours, mixed fruit jam and other edible. The samples were sent to the State Food Lab, Bhopal for testing. The team also seized 25 packets of bread, pizza base and paav from Rajasthan Mishthan Bhandar.
