The last rites of Air Force soldier, Vicky Pahade, who was martyred in the terrorist attack in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, were performed at Pataleshwar Mokshadham in Chhindwara on Monday. The funeral pyre was lit by the martyr’s 5-year-old son Hardik. Earlier, the Air Force gave him a guard of honour. His mortal remains were brought from Nagpur to Imlikheda airstrip (Chhindwara) at 10.30 am in an Army helicopter. After giving guard of honour, the mortal remains was taken from Parasia Road to his home village Noria Karbal in a special vehicle. The last journey from Noria Karbal reached Pataleshwar Mokshadham. Here the relative took the son in his lap and completed the last rites as per the rituals. Earlier in Chhindwara, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav paid tribute to the martyr Pahade. He also met his mother Dulari. The Chief Minister said, “We are proud of our brave soldiers and Army. Those who committed this cowardly act will have to pay the price”.
Chief Minister said that India is capable of taking revenge for such cowardly acts. The Chief Minister said that the State Government will give Rs 1 crore to the family of Baidharani. At the same time, he said that except for a few minor incidents, no major incident took place due to the abolition of Article 370. India is capable of taking revenge for this cowardly act. A large number of local people arrived to participate in the last journey of Vicky Pahade. The last journey of martyr Vicky Pahade was taken out from the airstrip along with a convoy of Air Force officers and soldiers. His family, relatives and thousands of people are involved in this journey. Patriotic songs are playing. Slogans of long live the martyrs are being raised. Crowds of people have gathered everywhere to pay homage. The army and the people of the district are proud of Vicky Pahade, who gave martyrdom to the country.

I pray to Almighty God to grant peace to the soul of the deceased and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear the immense sorrow. The entire Chhindwara salutes the bravery and valor of its immortal Shaheed Lal (son) of Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh and the entire nation will always be indebted to your sacrifice”. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath and Chhindwara MP Nakul Nath have paid tributes to Vicky Pahade, who sacrificed his life to protect the motherland by awakening patriotism in the heart. Paying tribute to the sacrifice of the son of the soil of Chhindwara, the leader said that the entire country is proud of the bravery and valor of its immortal martyr son Vicky Pahade.
