A team of State Economic Offences Investigation and Anti Corruption Bureau (SEOIACB) officials along with liquor businessman Trilok Singh Dhillon alias Pappu Dhillon on Wednesday reached his residence at Nehru Nagar (East), Bhilai and searched for documents. Few days ago on April 12, the SEOIACB during raid in Dhillon’s residence had sealed some rooms and almirah in the house and in continuation of the raid, the EOW officials again reached the house and searched for documents in the sealed places. Dhillon was later produced before a Special Court in Raipur from where he was sent to jail on judicial remand till May 16.
 
Notably, the SEOIACB has been probing Dhillon’s role in Rs 2,200 crore liquor scam occurred during previous Congress regime. Last month, the EOW raided Dhillon’s house and had seized foreign liquor from Pappu Dhillon’s son Jasjeet and a separate case in this regard was also registered. Meanwhile on Wednesday morning, a team of the SEOIACB officials reached Dhillon’s residence ‘Dhillon Mansion’ in Bhilai in four to five different vehicles and carried out search in the house. Dhillon was also present with the team and the SEOIACB officials inspected the documents present in the sealed rooms and almirah.
 
As part of safety measure, police personnel were also deployed in the entrance of the house while vehicles of SEOIACB officials were also seen parked outside the house in front of entry gates. Any official confirmation in this regard remained unavailable and it could also not be known that what was found during the search. Meanwhile, Pappu Dhillon who was absconding was earlier arrested by the SEOIACB from Kochi and after his remand ended on Wednesday, he was again produced before the court from where he was remanded to judicial custody
