As the portfolios were assigned to the ministers, the Members of the Parliaments (MPs) inducted in the Council of Ministers in the third term of Narendra Modi government took their charge in their respective ministries in New Delhi on Tuesday. Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, took charge on Tuesday. In a post on X, he wrote, “today took charge as Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, in New Delhi. The ministry will work as an important link in realising he resolve of PM Narendra Modi to develop India.” He wrote. Chouhan also reiterated the rural development is a priority for the PM and in that cause several schemes are being operated by him which are directly benefiting the needy.
 
There has been a revolutionary work in this field under the visionary leadership of the prime minister. Chouhan also did puja in the ministry before taking charge as the minister and also met the officials submitting them the ‘Sankalp Patra’ to the officers. Senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, who was elected from Guna parliamentary constituency, also took charge as the Minister of Communications. Coining as a new beginning, he said that he feels excited to take over the position under the leadership of PM Modi. “Let us build together a future where access to opportunities is never dependant on geographical distance and even remote areas play a key role in country’s development journey through communications.” Scindia wrote on social media platform X.
 
After taking charge, he chaired a meeting with the officials and termed Dak Seva as Jan Seva. Dr Virendra Kumar also took the responsibility of the Minster for Social Justice and Empowerment and also held a meeting with the senior officers with the department of empowerment of persons and disabilities of the ministry. He also directed them to prepare a concrete action plan and roadmap for the next hundred days. Minister of State Durgadas Uike also took charge as the Minister of State for Tribal Affairs.
