ANTI-NARCOTICS Cell of the City Police’s Crime Branch nabbed two drug-peddlers from Wathoda area and seized 140 gramme mephedrone (MD) powder valued at Rs 14 lakh from them. Cops also seized two moped and cellphones worth Rs one lakh from their possession. The accused have been identified as Sagar Hivdas Choudhary (27), a resident of Vinoba Bhave Nagar, Pardi and Hrithik Kalambe (23), a resident of Ambedkar Chowk, Garoba Maidan, Lakadganj.
Acting on a tip off, a team Anti-Narcotic Cell nabbed Sagar and Hrithik on Lakadganj-Wathoda Road. During their physical search, the team found 140 gramme MD powder. Cops took them into custody and registered a case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Wathoda Police Station. The arrests were made by PI Gajanan Gulhane, API Manoj Ghurde and others under the supervision of DCP (Detection) Nimit Goyal.
