Investigating forgery cases against 11 schools, police have found books stock with fake ISBN (International Standard Book Number) numbers during verification of books at Christ Church School, Saliwara, on Friday. A police team conducted physical verification of information provided by the school administration and found that the school administration tried to mislead police investigation as police have found books stock with fake ISBN numbers at the school premises. On the report of Jabalpur Collector, Jabalpur police have registered total 11 cases of forgery under Sections 420, 409, 468, 471 and 120B of the IPC at Omti, Belbagh, Sanjeevani Nagar, Gwarighat, Gora Bazar, Madhotal, Tilwara, Barela and Bhedaghat police stations.
 
Till now, police have arrested total 21 accused who were imprisoned at Central Jail Jabalpur after police remand. Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) chaired a review meeting of police officers and sought information about progress in investigations and directed the officers for minutely examining the information provided by the school administrations for further investigation into the cases. Inspection of Christ Church School Saliwara was conducted by police team led by DSP (Rural), Akansha Upadhyay and SHO of Barela police station, Pramod Sahu. Police have seized books with fake ISBN numbers and several other documents from administrative block of the school.
