IN a touching display of courage and determination, Special Task Force (STF) trooper Kailash Netam, wounded in a recent encounter with Naxalites, voiced his unwavering commitment to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during a heartfelt exchange on Sunday. Reminiscent of the iconic words of Captain Vikram Batra, “Yeh Dil Maange More,” during the Kargil war, Netam’s resolute declaration from his hospital bed resonated profoundly. Chief Minister Sai, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, visited Ramkrishna Care Hospital in the state capital to personally meet and inquire about the well-being of troopers injured in the recent Narayanpur district encounter. During his interaction with Netam, the Chief Minister was informed about the incident firsthand. Despite his injuries, Netam expressed his determination to return to duty and neutralize more threats. Sai, visibly moved by Netam’s spirit, remarked, “These brave souls of Mother India inspire us deeply.

Their indomitable spirit mirrors the valor of our martyrs, who have always stood firm in defending our nation.” Unable to meet injured trooper Lekh Ram Netam, who was undergoing surgery, Chief Minister Sai ensured that his condition was monitored closely by medical personnel. Furthermore, Sai extended his support to DRG trooper Lachhu Kadhati, injured in a separate Naxalite attack in Bijapur recently, wishing him a speedy recovery and ensuring he received the best possible medical care. Accompanied by MLA Motilal Sahu and Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Chief Minister Sai concluded the visit by reaffirming the government’s commitment to provide all necessary support to the brave troopers and instructed medical staff to ensure they received exemplary treatment.
