Continuing a rigorous campaign ‘Night Combing Operation’ against absconding criminals and warrantees, police have nabbed total 377 absconding non-bailable warrantees in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. It may be noted that the state wide special combing campaign has been started under the direction of Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh, Sudhir Kumar Saxena. The campaign has been continued under the supervision of Inspector General of Police (Jabalpur Zone), Anil Singh Kushwaha and DIG Jabalpur, Tushar Kant Vidyarthi in the district. Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh briefed the SHOs of urban and rural police stations at Police Control Room before the night combing. During the night combing, 2 to 3 teams from every police station led by SHOs and Sub Inspectors conducted a rigorous search for warrantees and absconding criminals from 12 midnight to 5 am Sunday.
 
Police have apprehended 377 warrantees who were absconding since a long time. IG, Anil Singh Kushwaha, DIG, Tushar Kant Vidyarthi and SP, Aditya Pratap Singh monitored the campaign throughout the night in different areas. In the campaign, total 128 non-bailable and 64 bailable warrantees who were absconding since a long time were apprehended. Besides this, poilce nabbed a miscreant named Rahul Raikwar, resident of Maharajpur in Adhartal and seized a knife from him when he was riding on stolen motorcycle in Panagar. Similarly, Chargavan police arrested an accused named Dalchand alias Dallu Gaud, resident of Dhabhaula who was absconding since a long time in the case of rape.
 
The night combing operation was conducted under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Sonakshi Saxena (IPS), Additional SP (Crime), Summer Verma, Additional SP (North/Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, Sonali Dubey and CSPs. The special campaign will be continued in coming days for implementing preventive policing in the district and maintaining law and order arrangements in the district.
